Installing
your pet door
Try the
cardboard test first
Cardboard test is recommended to ensure you have the correct size before
commencing any works.
Remembering
that your pet drops their head to push open the door then step through it.

Reading
your instructions find opening size.

Measure
and draw this onto a sheet of cardboard.

Cut a
template of the opening size of the pet door.
Call your pet
to see that they can pass through easily.
Installation
Guide
Below is a
general guide only to installing your door. Please follow
individual manufacturers instructions.
You will
require a basic tool kit to fit your self-framing pet door pet door.

Cut out
template
-
Measure
up 150mm up from the bottom of the door.

Position
template on door and tape into place
-
Draw
around template with pencil.

Inside
the pencil line drill four holes a line
-
Use the
holes for start point for your jigsaw cut along the pencil line.

Sandpaper
around edges to remove any rough edges.

Insert
inner frame to interior side.
-
Check
outer frame mad mark for screw holes.
-
It’s
recommended that some form of silicon be used to prevent timber damage.

Screw
together. Do not over tighten.
