Easy to Use
To use the Pet Ramp, simply set the angled, upper end on the surface to which your pet is trying to climb (car, couch, etc.), pull out the inner slide to the required length and set it on the ground. Do I really need a pet ramp?
Actually, most pet owners can benefit from the use of a ramp. Almost 30% of dogs and cats will be affected by arthritis at some point in their life, so consistent use of a ramp when pets are younger can only help in this regard. Of course, pets that are already suffering from some form of arthritis can benefit immediately from using a ramp. And lets face it, as pets age it gets harder to jump and climb, so offering a ramp is an easy way to make your pets later years more enjoyable. Pet owners face similar issues with arthritis and aging and it is difficult for many pet owners to assist their pets without risking injury to themselves. So a pet ramp is a smart choice for a variety of reasons.

How strong is the ramp?
The ramp has been designed to safely handle pets up to 80 kgs. When fully extended. The less the ramp is extended, the stronger it becomes. The ramp will flex somewhat when used by larger pets, but 
this doesn't pose a safety risk.

How much does the ramp weigh?
The ramp weighs only 6 kgs., and with its convenient carry handle, it's easy to move from place to place and easy to set up and take down.

What are the dimensions of the telescoping pet ramp?
The ramp is one of the widest on the market at 50 cm. wide, and can be extended infinitely from 1metre long (fully closed) to 1.7 meters long (fully extended). It is only 15cm in depth.

What are the safety features of the ramp?
The ramp is designed to be one of the widest on the market, plus the widest portion is the top half, when the pet is furthest from the ground. The high sidewalls give confidence to pets as they go up and down. The ribbed carpet gives pets a comfortable, sure footing. Rubber feet help keep the ramp in position when being used.

Is the ramp easy to use?
Since the ramp has a telescoping design, it's very easy to use. Just slide the ramp open to the desired length to use it, and slide it closed when not in use - what could be easier? There's no clumsy folding and unfolding necessary, and you'll never pinch your hands while using it! Most people can deploy and stow the ramp from the back of a station wagon without ever taking it all the way out of the vehicle.

Also, the telescoping feature makes the ramp very versatile. When space is restricted (between cars in a parking lot if you're driving a minivan) or when your pet doesn't need to climb very high (on a couch or bed), then use the ramp in a less-extended position. The ramp can be adjusted infinitely between 1-1.7metres, so there's no need to buy a "full" ramp and a "half" ramp - the telescoping ramp is many ramps in one!

Finally, the ramp is easy to clean. The outdoor-grade carpet is resistant to chemicals and oils, and can be easily cleaned with mild soap and water, or simply hosed off. (Please allow the carpet to dry before stowing for long periods of time.)

Training:
Many pets will begin using the Pet Ramp with no hesitation. If your pet is unsure at first, lay the Ramp flat on the ground and allow your pet to become comfortable walking on it before using it in an inclined position. It also helps to hold your pet by the collar and offer reassuring praise and/or treats as your pet gains confidence using the Ramp. For vehicle use, command your pet to stay inside the vehicle until the Ramp is deployed, then walk your pet down safely.

For Swimming Pool Use: 
The Ramp is best used in depths of 90cm. First, drill ¼” holes in each corner at the “bottom” end of both the inner and outer sections. Extend the Ramp and lay the inner section on the water. The Ramp will fill with water in about a minute and come to rest on the bottom of the pool. Set the top of the Ramp on the edge of the pool to use. When finished, remove the Ramp from the pool and keep in a vertical position to drain. Keep in mind the Ramp will be heavy until the water drains out. 

Cleaning: 
If the plastic parts of the Pet Ramp become dirty, simply clean with any standard household cleaner. The carpet can be cleaned with standard carpet cleaners or simply hosed off.

Maintenance: 
It is possible to adjust the opening/closing resistance of the Ramp. Tightening the nuts on the underside of the outer section will increase the resistance, and loosening the nuts will decrease the resistance. Please note the Ramp tends to become easier to open/close with repeated use, so it should not be necessary to loosen the nuts. If the nuts are loosened too much the ramp may become disassembled or otherwise unsafe to use.
